Nashville WVO Working Vacation

A whole new experience!

I am a total newbie to owning a wedding venue, and like everyone starting a small business, it’s important to know what I’m doing! Enter the Nashville WVO working vacation! My friend and mentor Didi Russell, who runs the website www.weddingvenueowners.com, brings a select number of wedding venue owners to different cities around the country to tour venues, meet and greet other venue owners, let us learn from each other, and offers up seminars in the afternoons so we can learn more about owning a venue, running a venue, navigating the world of liability insurance, property insurance, pricing, different pricing structures, and a whole host of other things that you don’t necessarily think about until it’s sometimes too late. She is really really big on teaching us marketing strategies that will save us a ton of money outsourcing things that we could very easily do ourselves.

New Orleans, Saint Augustine, Charleston, and Houston are just a few of the cities where Didi has done these seminars. I experienced the one in Nashville. I had never been to Nashville, what a great city! Everyone was so friendly, and I don’t think I met any strangers. People on the street smile and say hello.

all the great venues that attended Nashville:
